A message from the Principal, Ms. Nicola Barrett

Welcome to Le Chéile Secondary School, Ballincollig and thank you for your interest in finding out more about our school.

We are a Voluntary Catholic Secondary School for girls and boys operating under the trusteeship of Le Chéile. Fostering self-esteem and promoting mutual respect are central to our philosophy of education and we will take pride in creating a positive, happy atmosphere that is both nurturing and stimulating. Within the school, we will create a great sense of community and common purpose and work extremely closely with our parents/guardians to promote and sustain an environment which encourages and stimulates learning. This will enable us to provide a learning experience which is enjoyable.

We are committed to embracing new ideas and processes. We are very mindful of current education reform and change and intend to be at the forefront of these developments nationally. As a new school, we are in a privileged position of being able to start at a point where other established secondary schools wish to go. State of the art ICT facilities, modern, interactive teaching methodologies, for example, lend themselves very well to creating a school environment that will cater for students of all abilities and allow them to achieve their own individual potential.

Our website will give you an overview of school life. If you require any further information, please do contact us at the school directly. We would be delighted to answer any questions you may have.

Is mise le meas

Ms. Nicola Barrett
